Rhode Island PTA turns 100 in 2009!!!
That's right, on February 22, 1909, Rhode Island PTA founders held their first meeting! We have sure come a very long way! What a year 2009 will be!!!
We need your help in celebrating this historic event. We are looking for volunteers from our local units to be on our planning committee. Come join in the fun in organizing this wonderful celebration. We know that you all have wonderful ideas to share and do appreciate your input.
At last week's Board of Managers meeting, ideas were flowing as to the possibility of a Gala to combine with our Spring Convention Meeting for the end of April. Also, is the possibility of a yearlong celebration with small mini events throughout the year.
How would you all like to celebrate? We want to hear from you! The
Rhode Island PTA has endured these 100 years because of all the local unit volunteers' hard work and commitment. This celebration is for all of us!
